I was at a Bill O'Reilly "talk" in Trinity College Dublin last night.

Interesting to see the the odious one in person. I will say one, he knows how to work the crowd and was much more conciliatory than normal. He did embark upon his usual tirade about subjects he knows very little about, one questioner asked him his opinion concerning a rising European Union superpower, he response was "great, why not, if if works for you, it's like gay marriage, if it works for you, good" LOL.
I will say he seemed to adopt a more jovial attitude and some of his answers surprised me e.g criticised conservatives regarding their stance on "dumping guck in the air" (his words)and to my utter amazement claims he is in favour of gay adoption!!, has no problem with it.
I will say though I as laughing at him rather than with him, he is a spectacular idiot and it worries me that so many people unable to see through his poor analysis and sloppy journalism.

I'm so sorry to hear that he has inflicted himself on another country. :(

When in front of you, he will tell you what you want to hear.

On his propaganda show, he will spew hate.

He is a gutless hypocrite and it does not surprise me to hear he would not confront a crowd with unpopular opinions.

he got lots of mileage out of vilifying the Chicks. And then when they were performing he rushed right up to gush all over them. Natalie Maines was repulsed.
He always presents a different O'Reilly depending on where he is. When he's on The Daily Show, he tries desperately to appeal to Jon's audience, with really cringe-worthy results. He makes "pot" jokes and is all giggly. Then, he's back on his show breathing fire and demonizing anyone who disagrees with his ranting.

That would have been nice, to see Martin Sheen give O'Really a come-uppance.....

I would have laughed heartily if Al Franken had walked out as a surprise guest.

His trademark is know-it-all, which is faked by the verdigris of good diction and rhetorical gimmicks, courtesy of the nuns' rote, but his ignorance is abyssmal. It shows through when he talks about the Border (used the word "wetbacks") and anything "foreign" to his background.
