A bit of wisdom from a local sports talk radio host...

Just to set it up a bit: the hosts on the sports radio station I listen to rarely discuss politics, but decided to talk about the Obama speech to school kids controversy. Most of the hosts are left leaning and thought the whole outrage from conservatives was rediculous (one of the hosts even said he thought a lot of this was coming from racists on the right). Not surprisingly, this prompted a fair amount of angry calls and emails to the program saying this has nothing to do with racism yadda, yadda.

The host then came back with an highly quotable truth that I just had to share:

"I'm not saying every conservative is a racist, but every racist I've ever met was a conservative."

Perfect!

I thought it was well put, not too in-your-face, and very true.

Bet he got plenty of hate mail for that one also...conservatives seem to hate it when the truth is told to them.
