According to intrade, there is a 17.4% chance that we will get a public option. So if you think that this is wrong, and that there are somehow enough votes in the Senate for a public option, then put your money where your mouth is and buy "public option" shares on intrade. If we end up getting a public option, you will multiply the amount you put in by five.
