We need a Plan B

I've been thinking about this all week...

I think we should work on putting our agenda in the Constitution. I know it's hard but it will give us something to fight for even if our pols let us down.

Suggestions...

Net Neutrality.. The corps are going to astroturf it.

A constitutional amendment for that would be very popular.

Healthcare is a right!

Stop the war on drugs.

Term limits for Federal judges.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM.. NO MORE CORPORATE MONEY!

just a thought

1. But the SCOTUS says Corps are PEOPLE! I fear we have lost our country. I appreciate your idealism.

2. I hate to mention it, but constitutional amendments go through Congress first

Then they need the approval of 3/4 of the states.

If you can't get a simple health care bill through Congress, how do you get a health care constitutional amendment?

4. Rewrite the Constitution
Switch to a Parliamentary form similar to Canada. That way, the party in power can enact laws more easily. My guess is that the Democratic party would be in power most of the time.
