Now we have a family that demonstrates the successes and accomplishments that can come DESPITE poor economic circumstances and a bigoted society and workplace ... if one studies hard and works together.

And the fascist right wing screams in faux poutrage ... through the public megaphone of the corporate media.

We're deeply and truly fucked as a nation when these people are given such a forum and legitimacy by elected representatives.

were presidential material? That's not the message I want kids to hear.

Yet he was given every opportunity, an unelected puppet installed against the will of the people.

You have to give it to the ultra rich, they do manage to rally their brainless troops to every witless cause they can come up with, shrieking with manufactured outrage.

At some point, those troops are going to run out of gas. It can't happen soon enough for me.
