If we were all covered under a Single-Payer health insurance system

Wouldn't the cost of malpractice insurance go down because it would no longer have to cover for lifetime medical care?

Wouldn't auto insurance go down because it would no longer need to cover medical expenses?

Wouldn't Worker's Compensation Insurance be reduced because the employee would already be covered for medical?

And that is just 3.

1. Don't bring logic into this.
It only infuriates the opposition.

3. It's the workers comp thing that gets me....
It's one of the biggest employee related expense for small business owners and yet they still insist on backing republicans.

Sure they would like to see it gone, but it can't because some of it covers pay for missed time. But by carving the medical expense from WC would greatly reduce the premiums.

4. Yes, yes, and yes
except that worker's comp would be expanded in states that don't have it to cover an employee's wages while he recovered from an on the job injury.

Mostly, US corporations that still make things here would find themselves more competitive when they weren't shoveling so much extra cash into the maw of the for profit insurance industry.

10. I'm not up on this I guess because I didn't realize there are states
where WC doesn't exist. Is this true? Do you mean that some states don't cover missed wages when someone has a work related injury? For shame!!!!

6. Yes, yes and yes, blah, blah, blah and also the American People would prosper

more and their stress would be greatly reduced as a result, but on the other hand.

Congress wouldn't receive as much bribe money from the likes of "health" insurance corporations, Big Pharma etc. the upper management and CEOs of those industries wouldn't get the mega bonuses based on how many Americans they let die and the corporate media wouldn't be selling their commercials, so you see, sending 18000-22000 Americans to live with the wolves every year is the right thing to do.

But the prime directive is to make sure this carcinogenic, tapeworm; of the health care industry based on the American Peoples' death survives because otherwise we might have disruption.

7. I'm just not seeing a downside to the single payer arguement.
Then again, I'm not the CEO of a health insurance company.

rape the labor force.

12. There's only one problem with that.
The predators raking in the dough have somehow convinced a few too many Americans that portion of YOUR paycheck is THEIR money. And if you decide to use YOUR paycheck to purchase health services from your government instead of from THE PREDATORS that is GOD AWFUL COMMIE PINKO SOCIALISTIC EVILNESS THAT WILL DESTROY THE WHOLE DAMN PLANET AND WE WILL ALL BE LIVING IN POVERTY FOREVER AND EVER.

13. I doubt it. There will always be a parallel system for people who are willing to pay
and get better care than what the government system offers.

The 3 things you mentioned will still be offered in the "private world" and the payments for such will still drive costs in the areas you discussed.

I can't imagine places like the Mayo Clinic being open to anyone who calls and makes an appointment. Those places will always be for the people who are willing and able to pay for it.
