YAY! Send Me Everything You Can Find About Glenn Beck by Keith Olbermann

Sun Sep 06, 2009 at 10:14:03 AM PDT

I don't know why I've got this phrasing in my head, but: Find everything you can about Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes.

No, even now, I refuse to go all caps.

No, sending me links to the last two Countdowns with my own de-constructions of his biblical vision quality Communist/Fascist/Socialist/Zimbalist art at Rockefeller Center (where, curiously, he works, Comrade) doesn't count. Nor does sending me links to specious inappropriate point-underscoring prove-you're-innocent made-up rumors.

Keith Olbermann's diary :: :: Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony "truce" push).

This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.

I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he's in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.

Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.

2. Food fight! MSNBC and Fox are almost to the point where they exist only to battle each other.

Why anyone pledges their loyalty to any of these talking heads is beyond me, but it's funny when you say something negative about their preferred host (on either network) and they react as though they're this person's PR team.

So now we're going to have Fox hosts and MSNBC hosts trying to get each other fired. How enlightening for the average person!

I don't know why anyone is surprised by this Van Jones resignation. When we have people on both sides of the political spectrum trying to silence others because they're "offended" by something said (or by a version of something someone almost said), why is anyone shocked when people from their side are targeted for silencing/firing/forced apology?

If you don't like what someone is saying...change the channel, walk away, ignore them. Why have we gotten to the point where when someone is offended by a word or comment, the alleged offender must be silenced? Ridiculous.

4. Sorry. No, I'm not KO's PR person, but I figure after what I've seen him do,
I owe him to think better of him than to assume he's just doing what he does "for ratings" or "to get someone else fired." He was saying some things on his show that needed to be said long before it was good for ratings.

And he's not trying to "silence" Glenn Beck, he's trying to expose him for the bastard he is.

All TV hosts are NOT created equal. If you want to throw them all in the same bag and dump them in the trash because it makes you feel morally superior that you don't listen to any of them, fine, but don't expect everyone else to do the same.

3. This is a little weird.
Wikipedia claims that this is Stu Burguiere's Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/sturadio
but it's a little strange in places. For example, next to "Movies" it says "chick flicks and snuff films", next to "Body Type" it says he's 8'2", and next to "Income" it says "Less than $30,000".

Snuff films?
