Other developed countries...
must be laughing at the US while they shake their heads in amazement.

Bush started a war of convenience, lied repeatedly to the country, nearly bankrupt the country, spied on citizens, and generally fucked the dog for 8 years.

Obama has been in office 7 months. The only real things he's done have been to try to stop the downward economic slide, and to get health care reform.

For these sins, the rightwingnuts have convinced a large slice of the population that he's a combination of Satan and Joe Stalin.

The Europeans, especially, must be laughing their asses off.

2. I don't agree Obama has done nothing...
He's reversed A LOT Of what Bush did, if not most. However, he got stuck with the feces Bush left all over our country and that's not going to be fixed in one day.

HOWEVER, I'm getting a little sick of Obama wanting to smooch and make the Repukes happy. I've just about had it. I understand Obama refuses to go for the jugular, that's fine, but does he have to actually be crawling into bed with them?

Why doesn't he speak out and defend our point of view. Yeah, I know in Harvard he tried to bring both sides together. That was Harvard. This is real life. It doesn't work that way in real life.

WHEN IS HE GOING TO REALIZE THAT?

4. I don't see any evidence he's trying to make the Republican happy
The only Republican they're negotiating with is Olympia Snowe, who is to the left of several Senate Democrats on the health care issue. The only thing I see the White House doing is trying to get conservative Democrats in the Senate on board.

Now, you can disagree with that - but it's not the same thing as negotiating with Republicans.

5. He's silent in the face of Republicans destroying any healthcare plan
That for starters.

3. Laughing yes
and also thinking we are the stupidest most obnoxious nation on earth. Why would the American people not want a government run health care.
Then of course there are the atrocities we have committed in Iraq, the killing of civilians in Afghanistan and the torture of prisoners (at least one child).

It is a pity that we don't seem to learn either from other countries or our past mistakes.
