conservative in what? A lot of these same people are liars,cheats,pedohiles,adulterers,fornicators and much more but they think that they have the right to tell the rest of the country what to do, when they are doing what they usually are criticizing the rest of the country for.

They need to be protesting about all of the pedophiles in some of these little towns who are misuing and murdering women and children.They are always complaining about crime and other problems around the country when they are the ones who are creating these situations with their policies.

Like I said " A bunch of damn hypocrites! I wonder sometime as I see these fake,phony,lying ass bastards on the floor preaching to the rest of the country as though they are the something to be looked up to, I always wonder are you a pedophile? There are many questions that should be asked about these fake assed hypocrites. One thing that has always bugged me as I watched Condelezza rice. She is a single unmarried woman, do you think she has had sex and if she did and got pregnant do you think she would get an abortion? As I have watched these people over the years I don't see how people believe this shit?

Also, these so call so called people who complain about too much spending are these the same people who never complained when Bushco and other admins spent,and spent on for so called tax cuts they receive tax cut after tax cut in every bill so why are the lower classes catching so much hell if they were getting so many taxcuts/subsidies which many don't get,hear about,or see.

What I really don't understand is how many can't see how as soon as it comes to helping WE THE PEOPLE the shit hits the fan as soon as you mention military they can have the whole budget,have you ever looked at that pie and see what WE THE PEOPLE get to help us but oh no, we need to give tax cuts how many have these thieves gotten already? How about some damn affordable housing,healthcare and jobs congress and senate!!!

I am tired of hearing this mealy mouth bullshit year after year. I have been hearing the same shit out of the same damn people since the eighties now my sons and daughter all have graduated this year and what in the hell do they have to look forward to, not a damn thing so far. Who are you fucking besides your wife? how many abortions have you paid for with your lovers on the side? How many of you congressmen and senators go on vacation and not and pay for prostitutes?

How many loopholes are you putting in that bill so that you and your family and friends can steal? How many so called tax cuts did that put in the healthcare legislation,stimulus,etc..so that they can all live high on the hog but expect everyone else to get along on minumum wage which can even pay the rent in most places.. Lastly, don't tell me what I can and cannot drink or smoke the majority of the country are already doing it already including you!

It wants to change things and change them fast. It is just called a new brand of conservatism because "lots and lots of change" doesn't sound palatable when constitutional rights are at stake.

But actually it is a progressive movement - prgressing in the entirely wrong direction, to be precise. As a moderate, I cannot relate to it in any way.

Neo-conservatism is overruling worthwhile traditions to serve temporary interests, it is immoderate progression without any ideas, any ideals, any goal but the temporary. It is almost unhuman.

But regressive, as far as I know, means (the desire) to take the country back to a previous point. The habeas corpus, to take one example, has always been an intergral part of all anglo-saxon civilisation since the thirteenth century. So where does this neo-conservative meme come from, that habeas corpus can be suspended? That is not taking the country back, that is taking the counrty forward into an eery and grizly new era.

Progress in the wrong direction is still progress, to my eye. However, I appreciate that on a site with many self-proclaimed progressives (all of whom hate neo-conservatism with a fervor I cannot match) "regression" would be a very good synonym for "progress in the wrong direction". What we mean, after all, is more or less the same, right?

I don't consider "progress in the wrong direction" to be progress, I know what you are saying but when I get set back I don't consider myself to be making progress in any way shape or form. Progressives don't hate conservatives, what they hate is fascism. Make no mistake about it the Republican Party is not a conservative party, they are pushing an agenda of global domination and expanded corporate power, in other words they are pushing for fascism.

Words can have several meanings and you have certainly highlighted a prominent one. Conservative means arrogant, hypocritical, authoritarian, racist, militarist, and self righteous. It can have other meanings, but the people who do these things call themselves conservatives because they can't say, "I'm a pervert."
