1. The surge is really working isn't it!!! When are we going after the senators
who are up for re-election next year. Put the pressure on them to support the House on the Iraqi War funding and impeachment of Bush.

Unfortunately, my two -Kyl and McCain - can't be budged, right now. Any suggestions?

2. Between the casualties and the extension of tours I hope that service members
and their families will write their Republican representatives and the White House. I think that's where the pressure has to be if anything is to get done. The Democrats don't want to be re-Vietnamed for not supporting war. They can't move until the Republican-conservative portion of the country moves on the GOP. Even Kyle and McCain will start paying attention if they get letters from service members, letters mentioning how they used to support the GOP. I'd encourage those people to make their voices heard.

5. And the media keeps telling us the "surge" is working...
Because obviously if they don't report on casualties as much then there must not be any casualties right?

6. Kick for our soldiers - lest they be forgotten. May their families find peace.

8. on track for HIGHEST MONTH SINCE THE WAR BEGAN.
check out that table towards the bottom. it says for april so far the average deaths per day is 3.88. that is the highest average of any month except for the month the invasion took place. that means if the current rate stays the same there will be more deaths this month than any other month since th war began.
