DUVALL RESIGNS OVER SEX BLAB FLAP Michael Duvall has resigned from the California State Assembly after a local TV news station reported his remarks about sexual escapades with two lobbyists. Duvall was unaware that a live mic was picking up his hanky-spanky talk.

The Orange County Republican announced the resignation on his campaign website:

I am deeply saddened that my inappropriate comments have become a major distraction for my colleagues in the Assembly, who are working hard on the very serious problems facing our state. I have come to the conclusion that it would not be fair to my family, my constituents or to my friends on both sides of the aisle to remain in office. Therefore, I have decided to resign my office, effective immediately, so that the Assembly can get back to work.

Neither expresses any regret or shame at the act itself, just at being caught or called on their bullshit.

3. Translation: what's been revealed already is the tip of the iceberg
There's a whole shitload of juicy stuff about to be revealed about what I did, possibly even some VERY incriminating videos.

So maybe if I get the hell out now, it won't be a big news story when all this other shit comes out.

And maybe, my wife's attorney will go easier on me when she sues my sorry ass for divorce.

5. The part that really bothers me is that he bragged about spanking a lobbyist! think about that!


call me naive, but is sex a common incentive younger women working for lobbyists offer their assigned public office holders? the guy is a state politician and has 2 way younger women who serve him sexually and happen to be lobbyists? How common is that... I guess favor for favor is a pretty good paying scheme when you got lots of willing women and tons of corrupt horny old men holding public offices.

6. It used to be that lobbyist supplied prostitutes.
Now, it seems, they cut out the middleman, or middlewoman, and just get right to business. It's probably a bit cheaper these days.

7. In Washington I wouldn't be surprised. But how much beef did that guy have? State Politics?

Ok, it can be big and important - but I suppose such 2-in-1 prostitute-lobbyists do come with a considerable cost.... Just seems strange to me. I'll never vote for an old guy again.

He told his Republican colleague about how his lover talked about his messy sperm dripping out of her privates. That's just nasty. I don't think I would ever boast about a lover saying something like this. This guy is mentally deranged and so arrogant. And this is the guy who condemned gays and preached family values?

Here's some of what he said:

"She wears little eye-patch underwear… the other day she came here with her underwear, Thursday. And
 so, we had made love Wednesday--a lot!… she's all, 'I am going up and down the stairs, and you're dripping out of me!' So messy!"

17. I wonder how much of California's limited tax revenue was "earned"
by this woman for her employer? I also understand she is married as well. Any info on the other mistress? Apparently he was having sex with two married lobbyists. Just so everyone knows he is married as well. Life is sooooooo much easier when you don't cheat on your partner.

Egad, these people continue to amaze.

They seem to have no concept of "inappropriate actions", at least not when the actions are their own. For everyone else, they have prescriptions for how to behave; for themselves, it's all "don't get caught".

What an asshat. I wonder if someone left those mics on on purpose -- I know I would get tired of hearing his smarmy, vulgar, coarse descriptions of his exploits, even if I were a male.
