Please forget about Joe Wilson
.. the more you push against this incredible asshole.. the more free publicity you give him. He is a cock-roach. If you step on him.. he encourages others.

America should be more worried about the Swift-Boating of Obama that is now underway.

1. Because we're too dumb to hold two thoughts at once?
Really, this is insulting.

6. One might wonder ...
Why one would have to actually HIDE threads when they otherwise profess a lack of interest in the subject matter, and could just as easily skip the uninteresting thread ...

11. Whoa! That is so profound! You are awesome. Now I have to wonder...
... why they have the Hide Thread option in the first place!

17. Fuck .. hide them all ....
I can give a shit WTF you actually do, but it is fascinating to at least some us that a poster cannot seem to go around threads with certain words in the subject field ...

Maybe handcuffs would keep you away ?

Maybe not .... Hide the fucking threads ...

4. Wilson is part of the attacks on Obama
He just opened his mouth.

The hate was overflowing and he couldn't contain it when out came is little outburst.

Going after him sends the signal, we don't tolerate racist hate like his.

Plus the longer his stupid little outburst is in the news, the worse the republicans look.

5. Please DONT forget about Joe Wilson ...
Where the hell does the metaphor about stepping on cockroachs come from ? .... Does it actually 'encourage' other cockroaches to get stepped on too if one gets stepped on ?

:wtf: ?

7. I'm sure the freepers love the misdirection of focusing on Wilson instead of healthcare reform.
I'm sure he relishes the notoriety and pissing off Democrats.

8. I think you undersell the capability of human beings to do two things at once ...
We have more than one disagreement with the RW .... Wouldn't it make sense that we would need to open up fronts for every issue ?

Why would we want to focus on ONLY one issue ?

Should we focus on Health Care, and forget the war ?

I think this position is unrealistic, and untenable ...

9. why dont' you stop taking about placating the republicans?
Polls show that if the 2010 election was held today, that the race with his challenger would be a dead heat. I don't call that good publicity for a man who has demonstrated that he has no self control. You know, back in the day, a woman could have been sent to a mental hospital by her husband if she couldn't control her emotional outbursts?

I find that with cockroaches, if you step on them before they lay their eggs, then they can't multiply.

12. Obama is swiftboating us
Instead of focusing on some idiot shouting out in congress, maybe people on the left should be talking about how Obama's health care plan is going to leave 100 million people with no health insurance.

He has abandoned the public option, and has pushed for a watered down idea that doesn't even go into effect until 2018! (2013 + a five year grace period).

Maybe he is a liar--but for different reasons. The one thing he could have done for someone like me, who pays $10,000 in health insurance every year (and I do get coverage through work), he fails to do.

13. Pepperoni? Sausage?
What would you like on your pizza...it should be delivered real soon.

But before you're flushed back to freeperville...take your talking points and lies with you. So 100 million will be without insurance? How? Cause Dick Armey or Faux Noise tells you so?

Do some research before you spew shit before you troll.

So do you like the fact your employer controls your body? That you and your family's healthcare is at their whim...and if they can cancel that $10k policy for any reason they want. As usual, wingnuts always work against their own best interests.

See ya.

15. read up
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32013032/ns/politics-white_house/

100 million without insurance? We lost 15 million between 1994 and now. That number will likely accelerate between now and 2018, so I expect at least 80 million with no insurance. But who knows?

The fact is, this plan is a piece of shit. Stop whining about Hannity and Beck and start reading the fucking newspapers. Get informed and start demanding health care.

All I ever hear when I turn on left-wing radio is a two hour bitch session about some congressman's off color remark or some minor beltway scandal--the same shit we hear from right-wing radio.

16. The Status Quo Sucks...
Yes, under the status quo more and more people will lose coverage or be forced into bankruptcy or both as the insurance companies continue to cherry pick who to cover and what...and then what they feel like paying. There are NO guarantees that you won't be dropped for no reason...and more limitations on what they will cover. It's already a rationed care system with their own death panels. They play god and have been for years.

Anthony Weiner said it best when he said these companies are nothing but middlemen who provide no real service. All they do is take your money and take a 30% mark-up. Government programs like Medicare cut out that middleman and reduce administrative costs to around 3-5%. As long as its a gamed system to ensure the middlemen profits the number of those who aren't covered or have insufficient coverage will rise.

I've been for action for 30 years...I've gone without coverage and know way too many right now who suffer a similar plight.

Yes, let's have a serious discussion about health care. Many of us here already have been. It's those who need to play politics or have other agendas that want to distract, distort and play games with millions of lives on the line.

Cheers...
