IMO the purpose of the teabag march is intimidation
They are not there for rational, civil discourse. They are there to try and intimdate any that don't "think" as they do. What amazes me is that most are not packing a gun. They have demonstrated themselves to be nothing more than louts and thugs. The true American rabble that has been roused by the likes of Limbaugh and Beck. They offer NOTHING other than their efforts to bring fear and loathing into the mix. How do they plan on improving America?

3. I'm entertained... hardly intimidated
This overt display of the xenophobic backwash of this country
would be pretty good comedy if it weren't so damn tragic.

4. Washington isn't Arizona--you can't strut around with heat there
like you can in Phoenix. But you are correct about the intimidation part. Also, I'm sure many are paid or at least brought in from other areas by moneyed Republican interests. They are the ones making the display. It's professional PR types trying to change perceptions.

5. But who are they trying to intimidate?
Democrats? Non-Whites? If intimidation is their goal, they have their work cut out for them.

I thought maybe they wanted to prove their "numbers" to the world. They often say things like "most Americans think (insert BS)". I figured they wanted to prove they were the majority. The real Americans.
