Check it out, they're not saying anything of substance, just RW slogans. Lots of "Dean Scream" moments.

4. Why didn't they protest Bush's war or welfare for the rich?
If these people would have joined the protests against the Iraq war and Bush's reckless budget-busting borrow-n-spend practices, there wouldn't be a deficit problem.

29. "I've got my reagan button on" - the reagan who said deficits don't matter?
These people are hopeless - it really is all "us and them" to them. I work with a bunch of these types and they HATE democrats. I coexist because we don't talk politics (I decided a couple of years ago that it wasn't worth my own sanity "debating" with them - they just all would shout me down, saying the current talking point over and over...). I do have a "I voted for Obama" bumper sticker on my car and I've had others (support the troops, impeach bush) so they know where I stand.

14. "Just lots of RW slogans".
Exactly so. I've listened to speakers at gatherings like this one before as well, and they always have the same quality. They don't actually say anything-- they just string together a collection of slogans and two-sentence "arguments". They're just regurgitating what they've heard on the radio and on Fox. There's zero thought behind the words.

Orwell must've noticed the same thing in his time. There's a part of 1984 where he describes the concept of "duck speak", and it always makes me think of these sorts of people.

Do you love your grandchildren? uh....

FreedomWorks, which was one of the lobbying groups involved in orchestrated the anti-Obama "tea parties" on April 15, 2009, in summer of 2009 began pursuing an aggressive strategy to create the image of mass public opposition to health care and clean energy reform at Congressmembers' town-hall meetings in their districts. A leaked memo from Bob MacGuffie, a volunteer with the FreedomWorks website "Tea Party Patriots," describes how members should infiltrate town hall meetings and harass and intimidate Democratic members of Congress:

Spread out in the hall and try to be in the front half. The objective is to put tIle Rep on the defensive with your questions and follow-up ... You need to rock-the-boat early in the Rep's presentation. Watch for an opportunity to yell out and challenge the Rep's statements early. If he blames Bush for something or offers other excuses -- call him on it, yell back and have someone else follow-up with a shout-out ... The goal is to rattle him ..." <2>

Edited on Sat Sep-12-09 12:42 PM by BREMPRO
and is giving it to someone else for free. His dealership got a rating of 2 out of 5 on a public rating site. i'm sure they were closed by CHRYSLER, not the goverment because they sucked. More tea bag lies.

http://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/Island-Jeep-Mitsubishi-review-6974/

My Review of Island Jeep Mitsubishi:
The dealership is full of liars. They will tell you anything, even advertise on the internet discounts and wont honor it. I had an ad they posted on Auto Trader for a 2005 Chevy Avalanche for $2000 less then the sales mes quote.

The sales manager at the 12th hour said he could not sell it to me for that price. He also would not honor a $500.00 coupon from ther own internet advertisement. He said, "I'll look into it"I spoke to the owner after 10 emails and phone calls as to the poor communication as to the 150,000 mile warranty for free and my $500 rebate. They brushed me off as "we'll look into it" and that was the end.

I filed a complaint against them to Auto trader.com and I see they are no longer there, either they were kicked off the site for lying or AutoTrader sanctioned them.
I wouldnt recommend them to anyone I know. No wonder there going out of business. I am not supprised that they were closed down due to the years of complaints against them from consumers to the parent company.

The sales manager is not creditable at all. Any deal that the sales staff write up is not honored nor approved by him. What he will do ,is at the 12th hour, when you arrive with your wife or the whole family is tell you, "I cant sell it to you for that low price",then he'll jack it up $2,000,take it or leave it. Well what choice do you hqve after you sold your old car and took a cab to the Island Jeep dealer to pick up your new car.

THERS MORE BUT BEST ADVISE IS STAY AWAY !!!!!!!
