Jenny Beth Martin, founder of "Tea Party Patriots" ....
Edited on Sat Sep-12-09 12:43 PM by dem629
...says we need to "get back to the limited government that the founding fathers intended."*

The founding fathers did NOT intend for Jenny Beth Martin and women to have the right to vote. Why does Jenny Beth Martin believe that she shouldn't have the right to vote? Does her husband, Lee Martin, believe that his wife shouldn't be able to vote?

JENNY BETH MARTIN

(*quote from her speech at the 9/12 taxpayer FreedomWorks astroturf event in Washington, DC)

9. Actually, many fundie women believe just that.
That they shouldn't have the right to vote.

But, seeing that they do have they right, they believe the "Christian" thing to do is vote how their husbands tell them.

12. Voting limited to white male property owners
U.S. senators appointed by state legislatures. An Electoral College that votes any way it wants to.

Sounds like a fine system, if you're born into the right group.

15. Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots must believe that. Or she doesn't know
what she's really saying, in terms of its logical consequences.

14. Some of them would probably actually give up their right to vote
If only men could vote, Republicans would dominate national politics and abortion would be illegal. They might even bring back slavery.
