The Truth Is, Until There Is Radical Campaign Finance Reform And Corp Lobblyists Are Run Out Of DC
We will never have real health care reform. Plain and simple.

Health Insurance Companies and Big Pharma have very deep pockets and it seems that enough representatives seem more to care about being re-elected and keeping their cushy jobs (with great health care) then doing what is right by the people of our nation.

3. Media reform first would turn the tide
As soon as the loonies are held accountable for their treason, sedition, slander, and hate, th rest will go easily. Need to think big on this front though.

4. In turn, Media reform would also only happen with campaign finance reform. Too many key votes

are owned lock stock and barrel by corporations. There is also going to be shortly a ruling from the Supreme Court on how corporations donate money. If they rule in favor of the corporations, Democracy, as we know it, will be dead.

10. SCOTUS is about to completely hand elections over to the corporations -
there isn't anything to be done about that. There is, however, things we can do about the media, if we really think big.

7. None of this will ever happen until election systems are cleaned up.
The corporate cancer has metastasized throughout all of our democratic check and balance systems, not just campaign finance and lobbyists.

11. you are so right
legalized bribery (plus ignorance) lies at the very root of our problems and with media egging on the unwashed masses things can only get worse. Well, i did my bit - sold my tv, cancelled all my subscriptions, emailed companies who sponsor the likes of Limbaugh etc telling i will never buy their products again as long as the continue their support of the Brown Shirts and that's all i can do. But my greatest triumph was to buy a bicyle - havent used my car in weeks. I watch with smug satisfaction at the hundreds who are stuck in their overly priced cars as i go on my way with nary a stop. Im only one individual, but if millions changed their ways drastically, who knows what would happen?
