OK...They Protested. Thousands marched
and we celebrate that as a right in our country.

My Next question. WHAT THE HELL WAS THE MESSAGE of this PROTEST. the Message is garbled. I don't have a clue what the protest was about...taxes, OMG HE'S BLACK, Healthcare, death panels...WTF was the message?

3. Their message is that they have health care themselves, anyone who
doesn't is screwed, and they don't want to help - they want to keep the money to spend at the mall.

4. "We don't like democracy wherein we can lose an election"
and

"Losing to a Black Man Makes It That Much Worse"

Hard to fit that on a sign, though.

5. It's an astounding thing actually - a march for the status quo
a luddite march. the message is "Leave everything alone, we don't want to move forward, we are afraid of change". It really is similar to a KKK march, in the same spirit. It seems uncommon to march for such a unworthy purpose.

7. Ah, that's where we got 'em.
They HAD no unified message! Their march was about as effective as any progressive march where some of the people are marching for health care, some are marching to put Bushco on trial, some are marching because they want an end to the wars, others are marching to put an end to corporate welfare, others are marching to save the environment, and of course you always have those Marxists and so on in there who always seem to have the biggest, brightest posters and get the most TV time. But what the hell is the march as a whole about? It's a damn mess.

Same thing with the teabaggers. Their cause is all over the place. Some want no part of government health care. Others are marching for lower taxes. Others are marching because they're angry a black man is president and they don't think he was born here. Others are terrified their guns will be taken away. It's a complete jumble, and it amounts to jack.

Folks, the teabaggers just learned a valuable lesson, but I doubt they will learn from it. Taking to the streets just because you're angry about something isn't enough. Even millions of people taking to the streets isn't enough unless they're all angry about the same thing...THEN it might make a difference.

8. The message is I got mine screw everybody else..
The message is we hate government unless of course WE need it for something.

"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Then you're screwed because we sure as hell won't take care of you.

9. there was no coherent theme
I saw mostly about taxes...what taxes? I would assume looking at most of them, their taxes would be lowered along with the other 95% of us.
But then you saw other signs and heard all sorts of screeches. It really wasn't clear what this protest or any other teabaggin event was about.

15. On the contrary.
The signs and screeches have no coherent theme.

What these events are about is crystal clear, however.

14. That's their problem, they claim to be about opposing taxes, but most signs weren't about taxes
I saw twice as many signs about about Obama being an oppressive nazi, and about health care being oppressive then I did about taxes.

16. "Get that black man out of the White House and take our country back!"

They paid taxes under Bush. Did they care? Now they're getting taxed less and the meme is that they don't want ANY taxes. They just don't want it happening under a black president's administration.

Was this a problem for you then? Did you participate in Teabag protests then?

19. All the frustrations of a party with no leader and no clear message
Fear of increased taxes - in eight months no one has been taxed yet. Fear that their 2nd ammendment rights will be taken away. Fear that something, anything will change in their miserable fear filled lives.

Fear - fear - fear. Born on Sept. 11, 2001 by a President and his administration who used fear as their means of controlling people from having independent thoughts. Eight years of cowering in their duct tape and plastic sheeting shelters, afraid there is a terrorist hiding behind every tree. They are filled with fear. I'm surprised they got so many to leave their houses.

21. The political message was presented many times over...
No more government growth, no more debt.

It was accompanied by villainous rascals seeking less savory goals.

You could see the differences in the various factions and their intentions.
