They took so much damage, and even as they were being chewed up by the Panzer Corps they deconstructed their entire military/industrial base and relocated it behind the Urals, enabling them to come back to the fight. We put 16 million people in uniform - the Soviets put something like 25 million in uniform over the duration of the war. They lost more people in just the battle of Stalingrad than we lost in the entire war on both the European and Pacific theaters.

They were beaten. They were beaten badly. But nobody told them they were beaten and they won a war that by any rational standards they should have lost.

And other than "Enemy at the Gates" I don't know of any American film that tells even a fraction of that story. It's a story that Americans don't seem to want to know. WW2 began with Pearl Harbor, included D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge, and ended with Hiroshima. End of story.

I would take issue with this. Not with the thought of an upcoming war/revolution. That is written in blood. It’s the ease of the win. You say racial lines in your 6 years and beyond. That is a bit off. Half this country doesn’t pay taxes. The revolution means they will have to carry their share. They will certainly fight the revolution. The welfare whores and their baby daddies are a class issue and represent roughly a quarter of the entire U.S. or 75 million. They are armed and have pit bulls. Roughly 40% of the country is over 55 and will be less than useless. That means it will be a 35% against a 25%. That’s not nearly the ease of victory that you forsee. Victory will happen as someone somewhere will get ahold of the military’s heavy weapons and light nukes and at that time, the 25% will be in trouble, but it will take time.

What else would average citizens have to be angry about?

Obama has issued executive orders or passed legislation that
- Strives for equality in income between men and women
- Protects Americans against the most egregious practices of the credit card industry
- Outlaws torture in our names that doesn't result in much actionable intelligence but gives our enemies a great advertising tool
- Brought the economy back from the brink of disaster and put many Americans back to work
- Provided money to the states to help them from having make such drastic cuts to important programs
- Extended unemployment benefits including subsidy for COBRA payments
- Is proposing sweeping reforms to health care that would benefit everyone but the health insurance companies
- Has dramatically improved America's stature in the world based on people's opinions of America
- Secured the freedom of two U.S. journalists from North Korea
- Successfully freed an American freighter and its captain from pirates
- Given a payroll tax cut to every working man and woman in this country below a certain level

This is just a list of the few things I can think of. All of these are good things. But these nutcases are afraid Obama may seek to place reasonable regulation on their ownership and use of firearms. He might actually work to repeal DADT which has harmed our ability to fight our enemies. He might seek to repeal DOMA which arguably has some serious constitutional issues.

But he is reviled because he is black, intelligent, articulate, etc. These slobs are afraid of people that have an education and have achieved success. But the biggest issue is because he is black.

What a sad testimony to the state of the American character in 2009.
