The real 2 Parties

Forget Repub and Dem, it's all about who is bought off worse.

The actual 2 party system is the Corporatists and the rest of us.

Congress:
Repubs are basically 100% pro big business interests.
Dems about 1/2.

There in lies our dilemma.

IMHO of course.

1. You're being extremely generous to the Dems.

I'd say 99% and if anyone questions this, pick a Democrat and follow the money: Opensecrets.org.

4. There's alot more evidence to support your HO
than the false dichotomy that both "parties" are selling us.

5. Heh. I've been saying much the same thing for a long time.
One of my posts on the topic from 12/14/07:

The problem is, most people are totally mistaken about who the 2 parties are in our 2-party system.

There's the party of the Owners and the party of the Rest Of Us.

Oddly enough, even though the Rest Of Us outnumber the Owners, our party has essentially NO representation in our government. This is an imbalance that desperately calls for an overhaul of the System.

Unfortunately, far too many of the Rest Of Us are willing to play along with the charade that the party of the Owners throws every two years to fool the Rest Of Us into thinking that voting for Them will effect change.

Until the Rest Of US recognize who the two parties REALLY are -- and that it has NOTHING to do with Ds or Rs, we will continue to lose and lose big.

6. Politics Is Money And Visa Versa
It's human nature...to earn, to consume, to horde...there never will be a system that is totally "equal" as there will always be those who will outhustle or do whatever it takes to take advantage of another or to get more than others.

Out political system has always been about corporations and money...our founding fathers were far from "middle class". The battle we face these days isn't wealth as much as the disparity of that wealth. We have a bi-polar society where the middle class has been marginalized and expected to provide for the upper class and this is portrayed as "prosperity". We also saw this system all but collapse last year but destroying it completely would have not just taken down the rich but everyone else as well. Congress is caught in a battle between what prosperity means...does it mean wealth "trickling down" or a robust middle class. This is class warfare...not along party lines but along income and assets.
