Joe Wilson refuses to apologize for outburst.
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Joe Wilson said emphatically Sunday that he won't apologize to his colleagues for defaming President Barack Obama, increasing the likelihood the House will pass an official reprimand as early as this week.

Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., appears on 'Fox News Sunday' with Chris Wallace in Washington.
Wilson was more defiant than contrite in answering a series of sharp questions from Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday," his first appearance ever on a Sunday morning talk show.

Wilson issued a hard-hitting statement after the news program.

"The American people are fed up with the political games in Washington," he said. "I refuse to participate in an effort to divert our attention away from the task at hand of reforming health insurance and creating new jobs. Having apologized on Wednesday to the White House, we agreed that we must move forward in a civil manner to do the work the American people have sent us here to do."

Asked by Wallace whether race underlay his outburst, Wilson responded, "No, no, I respect the president."

1. Boss Limbaugh told him not to, and when you take your orders from a comedian,
you become a joke.

2. You apologize only for things you're sorry for
And Addison Graves Wilson Sr. isn't sorry except that he left off the word "boy" from his ejaculation.

3. The House MUST enforce the rules

They CANNOT allow a new precedent to be set, otherwise Joint Sessions of Congress will become like Question Time in the British Parliament with the Prime Minister. The U.S. Congress is NOT the British Parliament and the President of the U.S. is NOT like the British Prime Minister (where the PM is selected by MPs from a majority coalition of parties and is accountable to them).

Clyburn basically spelled it out. Pelosi needs to shut up and LEAD. None of this mushy mushy crap. CENSURE or REPRIMAND.

4. Why are we dwelling on this. It is going no where and this is why.
He did apologize to Obama and Obama accepted.

Look, most of us know from being parents, if you are going
to discipline, get it done at the time of the incident.

Threatening never works and often the child wins the battle.

If Pelosi was going to do anything it should have been quick
and decisive. In fact, she had said the incident was pretty
much over until the Blogosphere and Media kept on the issue.
Waiting gave Wilson time to gain his supporters and STALEMATE.

We may not like it but keeping it out there strengthens Wilson.
