Santorum ‘thinking about’ a run for president in 2012.
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/09/14/santorum-president-2012/

When U.S. Catholic leaders on Friday “challenged” Rick Santorum to run for president in 2012, the former Republican Pennsylvania senator admitted that he was indeed “thinking about it.” Santorum told the annual Catholic Leadership Conference that he was torn between concerns for his family and the “real opportunity for success”:

“On the other side,” he added, “as a father, I’ve got to think about whether they are going to have a country to live in … Are they going to be able to practice their faith in a way that’s consistent with what the Church teaches.”

The last consideration in favor of his run was on the practical level. He said: “Six months ago I would not have spent ten seconds on your question, but it’s not six months ago. I see that, I hate to be calculating, but I see that 2012 is not just throwing somebody out to be eaten, but it’s a real opportunity for success.”

In closing he said that while he was “thinking about it”, it is the first time his ambition which is, as he said, “in his DNA” was checked by a resistance saying, “no, I’m not sure.”

24. My impression of how they're dressed is as follows...
And I don't blame the little girl or the boy for how they're dressed because it doesn't look like it's their choice (the girl still gets her clothes picked out by mom, and the boy looks like he's wearing a school uniform). That said, time to be snarky.

Little Girl: Mom needs to stop buying and upsizing patterns for colonial doll dresses
Boy: I wonder if I'll get in trouble for leaving Hogwarts without permission
Girl in back: Prince and the Revolution from 1984 called... They want their outfit back.

12. Call me crazy, but this actually kind of scares me.
I thought we averted this problem when he got stomped in PA, and I still think he would've been a formidable national opponent if he had simply resigned and ran for the Presidency. The reason? He can fire up the fundies and evangelists that propelled Bush to victory in a way that few other Republicans can.

Laugh about it if you will, but Santorum poses a much bigger problem for us than Huckabee or Palin, in my opinion. (Note: I still don't think Romney would win the nomination over a full-blown fundamentalist freak.)

20. Please let this happen.
With Former Senator Fecal Matter, Governor Quitter, and Representative Crazypants, debates would be most fun to watch as they try to out-crazy one another.
