Positive view of Fox News among Democrats drops significantly.

Positive view of Fox News among Democrats drops significantly.

In a new survey of how the public views the news media, the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press found that “partisan differences in views of Fox News have increased substantially since 2007.” Though the percentage of Republicans who view Fox News positively is virtually the same (73 percent in 2007 and 72 percent in 2009), positive views of Fox News have dropped significantly amongst Democrats from 61 percent in 2007 to 43 percent in 2009. In comparison, the view of CNN by both Republicans and Democrats is “little changed from two years ago.”

10. Uninformed and isolated Democrats, I'm afraid.

My son, who is ardently pro-Obama and pro-health care reform, told me he watches the FOX news channel. I wailed his name, in the way that disappointed mothers will. He said something along the lines of "It's the only channel that tells the truth." or something?!?

I deduced that my stepson never.
never.

watches the news.

He's in a very, very
:salute: Republican :salute: area of our country.

15. Hopefully this helps dispel the Brave New World-ish myth that our side is a lot smarter than theirs.
We're not. Just being on the right team doesn't make you smarter; it just makes you on the right team.

11. That's really a lot of stupid independents.
I can't believe more independents favor Faux than favor MSNBC. What we have here is a condition of stupid Americans. Sorry, but it is true.

24. MSNBC's numbers are skewed from the high number of "don't knows".

Indys pretty much split the difference between Repugs and Dems in the poll on MSNBC.

I've never had a positive view of faux and I doubt my unfavorables towards that organization could go any higher.

They actually had no idea that it was unabashed propaganda. These were not dumb people either...although one has to wonder.

3. WTF is wrong with Democrats?
Fox News Favorables among Dems 43%, Unfavorables 36%????

They trash the president congressional leaders and the entire party 24-7 and more Dems than not have a favorable view of them?

I just don't fucking understand this.

22. Anyone else think maybe they didn't differentiate between "Faux" and local Fox affiliates?
My local Fox station (D.C.) bears no resemblance to Faux Snooze and the a.m. news crew is a hoot.

Either the poll is completely bogus or intentionally flawed - and completely bogus as a result.

I have a hard time imagining that to be true.

I was about to ask how you can get lower than 0%.
