This is the way it is...No revisionist history...

There was no one like the Beatles, before they burst onto the music scene, and no one even close to them, once the Beatles called it quits.

No entertainers EVAH shaped our American culture like John, Paul, George and Ringo...

If you agree, please rec this.

If you disagree, please un-rec this post.

Just remember...

The Beatles are saving BOTH our music industry AND the gaming industry right now.....

Peace and love....

4. How much of their catalog is still owned by M. Jackson's estate?
I know he owned a fair chunk at one point.

in your statement.

11. Yeah and why don't we talk about the people who influenced the
Beatles? The delta blues had a bigger effect than anything.

6. Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, but most of all...
I think the praise rightfully belongs to Les Paul and Adolph Rickenbacker for creating the guitars that really made the difference. The Beatles wouldn't have been a blip on the radar... nor would the Stones... forget about Page and Iommi...

9. Oh just stop it. The Fender Stratocaster or whatever was out there
and the first choice among many famous guitar players. I'm not knocking Les Paul but jeez, you guys go overboard with it.

17. How the fuck do you suppose that sound came about?
Edited on Mon Sep-14-09 04:01 PM by JuniperLea
No one would have been able to create a "new sound" without those guitars. The whole electronic sound came from those guitars, not before.

Get a fucking grip your own damn self. Cheesus!

10. why don't you just skip les paul and go right to praising God for creating everything?

Les Paul and Rickenbacker did not shape American culture like the Beatles did.

16. Uh... The Beatles wouldn't have had a "sound" without the guitars...
No one would. The guitar came first. There would have been nothing to change without the guitar in the first place.

As to your irrational snark... you can fucking bite my lily white ass...

I spent seven years writing about the rock and the roll... you listened to it. Big fucking deal.

21. Go for it...
What ever flips your switches.

But if you are flipping switches on electric guitars and trying to change the world, you need to have the guitar first.

You can build all the fancy cars you like, but without wheels, they are just stupid.
