US filmmaker Michael Moore on Monday urged supporters of President Barack Obama to champion proposed health care reforms and not let a vocal opposition minority steal the debate.

"I feel bad for President Obama and what he's going through... trying to bring help to people who have a hard time getting help," Moore said.

"All those tens of millions of people who voted for him, where are they? Who's got his back?

2. There's more.
"Perhaps part of the problem is that his (Obama's) plan only goes half way and it's hard to get your base of support excited about half-measures," Moore said on the sidelines of the Toronto film festival.

"Had he gone the whole way and just said, 'We need a single player system,' ... I think he would have a lot more support from the people who (helped elect him)," he said.

4. Yeah but Moore seems to recognize that less is more than we have now
and therefore worth working for.

6. Just Got Back From Watching new Michael Moore movie
I got back a little bit ago from seeing Michael Moore and watching the US premiere (in Pittsburgh!) of his new movie, "Capitalism, A Love Story". Wow!! What a guy, what a night, and what a movie!!! He spoke with us at the AFL-CIO convention, then we marched to the Byham theatre (me with my Single Payer Health Care banner) for his movie which just nails it. Then he took questions at the end. The man is so inspiring, I'm ready to redouble my efforts to effect the change that Pres. Obama promised and we desperately need. The movie is funny, heartbreaking, informative, inspiring, and more! Opens in 1,000 theatres October 2. Go!
