Is ACORN Putting Out Their Side?
Has anyone noticed if ACORN is discussing their side of the story concerning the workers who gave advice to a supposed pimp? I saw a story about the issue on tonight's edition CBS Nightly News; however, I do not recall seeing anyone from ACORN explaining their side of the story. CBS might have mentioned that ACORN claimed the tape was doctored and the stunt had been attempted at other ACORN offices. I did go to the ACORN website and saw a press release written by someone in the organization; however I think someone from ACORN needs to get in front of the camera and give their side of the story. So, has anyone from the group been on any shows on channels like CNN or MSNBC?

2. This is my guess.
ACORN initially thought it was one incident.

Sometimes the best thing to do is let a story die. With 2 wars, health care, Yeller Joe, anniversary of market crash ,etc, it should be that hard to let the story drop off the cycle.

The second tape caught them by surpise as did the 3rd and 4th.

However at this point you are right. No sense in waiting for it to die down. Maybe there are no more tapes, maybe there are 2, 3, 5 more. Either way it doesn't matter. The story has grown, the Senate bill makes it bigger.

They have to control the story or it will control them.

5. i suggest the marion barry defense
"the bitch set me up" is appropriate.

or the richard pryor defense "are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?"

or maybe the ultimate... the chewbacca defense "ladies and gentlemen of the supposed jury"

3. I DID see a spokesman on CNN this morning

He came on before the San Bernardino tapes came out though and he wasn't very convincing. Too much hem and hawing.

I don't have a link for that but here is one when he confronted Glenn Beck directly in May. Nothing to do with the present situation.

Good news!

The ACORN employee in the San Bernardino office never killed her ex-husband as she claimed to the "pimp" for abusing her. She was only assaulted him!

Probably just wishful thinking. Criminals often exaggerate their crimes to to impress other criminals.

4. The Baltimore CBS affiliate has given ACORN leaders good air time

Baltimore, as you know, was one the ground zeros.

Edit to clarify: they're giving the time to ACORN's local leaders, not the national organization.
