Sam Rayburn country....lack of interest in Bible study curriculum
It seems to me, since there was a LACK OF INTEREST, it should have been dropped, not rolled into another course.:eyes:
However, if these zealot x-tians cannot even sell their snake oil to the kids in the Bible belt, they have some serious trouble ahead.

Bonham Superintendent Sonny Cruse said the district offered a biblical history class, but too few students signed up. "We had less than five students that expressed interest," he said. Due to the lack of interest, the curriculum requirement has been incorporated into the history courses, where the unit focuses on "a real, historical perspective," Cruse said. "In a lot of good world history classes, that's not anything really new."

Though a new course was offered, Cruse said no new teacher was required. "We're not going to have to add any instructors," he said.

1. Those kids are "methed up" just to escape this bullshit.

2. They'd hate my take on it
I mean ... it would cover... history.

Like there is NO evidence the Exodus actually happened and Abraham is not a real person.

3. I'm not surprised at the lack of interest.
Fundies wouldn't trust the public schools to teach their kids anything about The Bible, so their kids wouldn't take it. They want these courses for the same reason they want teacher-led prayer and the Ten Commandments posted in school. It's not for THEIR kids. It's for ours.
