I thought I was on FOX NEWS! MSNBC called Carter "irresponsible" for speaking the truth
Both hosts of Morning Joe just called Carter "irresponsible" and "living in a bubble."

I seriously thought I was on FOX NEWS.

I feel overwhelmed.

I've seen the corporo-Repugnican machine working overtime before and now it's no exception.

I actually grew up believing that Carter had been an ineffective and bad president, until I started RESEARCHING the damned thing, and it turns out that he had been (statistically) a far better president than any Repugnican. Why then, have people crucified him as a bad president? I found out: the corporo-Repugnican JOSEPH GOEBBELS machine.

The same one they're now using on Obama.

How much longer are we going to stand for this shit? How many more decades?

1. I saw part of Carter's talk last night and I certainly agree with everything he said....
The smearing of Democratic Presidents and leaders by the GOP is their standard operation proceedure - they are even changing the history books in the Texas state school system to diecredit Democrats and glorify Republicans.

Republicans are America's Nazi Party, now more so than ever, and as much as many people here laugh at them, they are seriously evil and a great threat to our country.

Morning Joe is still an asshole.

2. President Carter is a wise man and does not speak loosely
He know diplomacy to well to mis-speak. He wouldn't say the things he said unless they were based on careful observations and valid concerns.

I respect the former President for his candor.

3. Not sure if Carter is correct on Joe Wilson, BUT
I knew the so-called "liberal" media was going to pounce on him. He's the new Van Jones, the angry Black man of the week. Jimmy. Fucking. Carter.

I just wrote a blog entry on the subject of Joe Wilson. If I were a betting man I'd probably say he's a racist, but don't quote me, and my guess doesn't count for much. That said, Mr. Carter's broader point about many Americans intense dislike of Obama because of the color of his skin seems pretty unassailable.

That said, I hate him just as much as Bush. And yes, I mean that.

7. "Irresponsible"
Is a pretty ridiculous criticism to level in this case.

I mean, it's fairly obvious that a lot of the venom-with-extra-froth out of the teabagger movement comes out of the color of his skin. Christ, remember the entire Clinton campaign against Obama? Disgusting.

But what do you expect? MSNBC = GE = war profiteer = "kick their ass harder, Barry!"

25. Good Ol' Joe is a member of the Sons Of Confederate Veterans, supported
keeping the Stars and Bars in South Carolina public buildings and certainly is no friend of any black person, or any Democrat.
My understanding is that most of the pols in his home state don't want him in office - he makes them look bad by association.

I had relatives fighting on both sides of the Civil War, and it's over, and should be left alone - that war caused enough grief in its time without bringing it back to life.

Joe is the type who likes to stir up trouble, them get away safely while others get hurt.

He is a real piece of shit.

4. didn't Joe Scarborough murder his congressional assistant??? I thought I read that somewhere, but
him calling former President Carter that just makes me know Jimmy did a great thing!

Also, you're right, he was far better than any recent rethug - they apparently (as I'm a little young to remember what happened in the late 70's) needed to get Carter out to bring in their corporate takeover of America that RAYGUN was gonna allow through the massive expansion of the military and the deregulation of everything - these fascists stole the election in 80, too, if you think about the hostage BS. They've been screwing over the people, while waving the flag and saying GOD is great, for decades, the sick criminals!

I pray they get theirs in the end... preferably justice now, but I really hope, IF they don't reject what they've done, that hell burns the flesh on those who truly know they're doing dirty hateful things against their country and humanity for $$$$$$$$$$.

9. A dead intern, Lori Klasautis (sp?) turned up in his FL office while
he was a Congressman, but of course, the MSM gave him some help by not making an issue of it. Meanwhile, there was an obscene glut of coverage of Gary Condit and the implied scandal around Chandra Levy's death.

On topic, it should be no surprise that a former Repub congressman and his Sarah Palin fangirl sidekick would bash a Democrat.

Oh, President Carter has more good in the pubic hairs that'll be still be clinging to his undies when he changes than the whole of the repukies.

14. You would have to be blind, deaf and dumb not to realize
racism was involved. I would love to hear the Morning Joe crowd explain some of the signs at the last hate fest. Tell us how emails with Obama as a witch doctor or a watermelon patch in front of the White House are not racist. When you look at Joe Wilson in the audience yelling out, check the expressions on the faces of his fellow Republicans. They were smirking. They thought it was amusing. In another place under different circumstances they would have done a whole lot more than yell.

Republican racism is undeniable to any reasonable observer...

Covering for it is just the same as condoning it.

They're both assholes, IMO.
MSNBC also has Keith, Rachel, Ed, Lawrence O'Donnell, David Shuster, Tamron Hall, just to name a few. I think all of them are very good at dispelling the repuke lies.
