Why do we (especially poloticos and the MSM) say "the banks"

"Wall Street," "lenders" etc? That's why there is no accountability. I was listening to a radio newcast and the commentator kept saying the "banks made mistakes" "the banks"..this and that. All this shit about what went wrong...but I didn't mention of one CEO or power broker name. It was always, the banks got greedy or the banks made bad investments...as though some entity other than a person did this shit. PEOPLE made these decision, PEOPLE got greedy, and PEOPLE took the money and made bad investments. Somehow the people should be named, fined, and fired! i believe that would make a whole lot of us feel better. Instead, the very same PEOPLE received money to cover their losses and worse, make up for profits, and put in charge of helping people that they screwed in the first place. At a minimum, the same PEOPLE should not be involved in anything having to do with fixing the problem.
