Max Baucus: dumber than_____________ (fill in the blank)
Edited on Wed Sep-16-09 01:56 PM by smoogatz
We should all sit back in awe at the extent to which Baucus has been housed by his Republican commerce committee colleagues. Holy crap, have they played him like a three dollar fiddle. First they get him to compromise all actual reform out of the reform bill, and then, once he's produced one of the most odious, lobbyist-driven pieces of legislative fecal-matter ever written in order to appease his Republican buddies, they announce en masse that they'll vote against it. So, Baucus is now the author of a bill that will force people to buy health insurance they can't afford and which isn't required to cover them, OR pay fines up to $3800. It stands no chance of passing, thank God, because most of the Dem caucus isn't stupid enough to vote for something that's bound to be incredibly unpopular, and not a single Republican will touch it with a ten-foot pole--so Max the Witless can't even claim the worthless mantle of bipartisanship. Way to give the opposition something to run against, douchebag. Way to sell your soul to the insurance lobbyists in front of God and everybody.

On edit: if the Dems do actually pass this turd, they deserve to lose the senate and much of their house majority.

1. I haven't seen the bill yet. Have you?
But some guy in the House said they view it as a "draft" and implied that he and other Obama supporters would make it what it needs to be.

2. Even the Republican Caucus.
Those who will mock us.

Joe Wilson when raucous.

Those trying to block us.
