It's not racism...it's COWARDLY RACISM!
These tin horn George Wallace/George Lincoln Rockwell types don't even have the balls to say that they're doing whatever the hell they're doing because they don't-like/don't-want-to-see/don't-want-to-be-near/don't-(fill in the blank) black people.

In the old days, the governors of certain states, the elected representatives in the State or Federal Houses and Senates used to have the balls to just say that they were doing 'whatever' to separate the (fill in the blank designated term of malicious hatred) from the God-fearing white people. they lynched, they wore white sheets, they used fire hoses, they beat and tortured minorities and their supporters in broad daylight with movie cameras running. They just didn't care.

These creeps just run around and hide behind the pernicious use of alternative language. They're bastards AND cowards.

2. I have been watching the media for a while now..

they dance around it and try to pretend as though it isn't what it really is when everyone in the audience knows it is racism. They take months to talk about something that has been going and then try to pretend that it is something new.

THey bring on certain blacks usually Republicons and once they tell them it is not racism they say there now we need to stop talking about it.

Meanwhile, millions of americans see it,live it and know it but the media seems to be afraid of the rightwing.

Chris Matthews stumbles all over himself apologizing to the rightwing when they come on his show and talks over the left and is down right rude.

They almost dare a black guest to say it is racism, and meanwhile I sit and watch my television as they black guest usually stumbles around to find the right words to say not to supposedly offend white people as though they don't already know what is going on even though, many try to pretend they don't.

3. That's just the problem
These cowardly bullies were never brave; yes, they were above-board when they controlled congressional seats and Senate offices, governor's mansions and sheriff's departments. But as soon as their grip slipped (or more accurately, when their bigoted blood-stained fingers were at last pried or snapped off the levers of power), they had to learn new ways of expressing their hatred and calling to each other in the lonely watches of their eternal night. The "birther" movement is one such manifestation: They can't very well go around saying that Obama isn't legitimately president because he doesn't look and act like "us." That would get them dismissed as racist kooks in a heartbeat. But gin up a fake controversy about being born in another country (like, you know, John Sidney McCain III), and you get to call Obama an alien or an outlander without looking quite so racist. And there will be plenty of people to make excuses for you, opine that you never actually called Obama a nigger, and paint it as some form of honest disagreement, well within the usual bounds of political discourse in our country.

5. Well-put....
I say: kick 'em in the groin on this and make them pay in every respect for their disgusting verbiage...they're saying that Obama is playing good cop/bad cop. I say: play bad cop/Attila the Hun.

7. In those olden days it was acceptable to be an avowed racist
But it was also acceptable to make sexist and derogatory comments about women and all minorities. The Old White Males pine for those good old days when White men reigned Supreme. It had nothing to with being brave. It was before the Civil Rights laws were passed that made such actions illegal.

Ask Pat Buchanan. I'm sure he weeps into his martini soaked pillow every night.
