Did anyone just see the ACORN segment on CNN?
Edited on Wed Sep-16-09 07:56 PM by marmar
Something reeks.

the gist of the segment, which was unbelievably fair for CNN, is that this was an isolated event, ACORN took the proper steps to address it, and that conservative activists set the whole thing up.

5. Any objectivity in the report?
Like, pointing out that the young man behind it was trained by Morton Blackwell's Leadership Institute or that Hannah Giles is the daughter of Town Hall founder, Doug Giles?

12. The San Diego office just fell moments ago
Edited on Wed Sep-16-09 08:28 PM by grok
I only saw about about a minutes worth but it appeared that in this episode it appeared that..

1. the male hispanic ACORN employee advised that he could find somebody to help smuggle girls across the mexico border.

2. the male ACORN employee seemed to want to proposition the "ho" for her services for the weekend.

3. the "ho" Giles states that they NEVER were refused services at ANY and that MORE tapes are coming.

Sorry, no link but what i state i saw is accurate and I am sure it will hit the mainstream press shortly.

I saw the police report too.

I am just stating what i saw and heard.

Keep in mind though, that ACORN stated that this duo was kicked out of the the New York AND San Diego offices.

So how come there are tapes of these too?

17. Ted Turner should use his wealth and buy shares of Time Warner, parent company of CNN.
Maybe if he got onto the board of directors, he could at least put up a fight if they tried to water down CNN further. In a dream, though. In a dream...

16. ACORN is tightening up its game as a result of this. They've stopped accepting new members.
They are going through a thorough review of the folks they do have on hand and will likely probe all their offices for improprieties. They'll probably accept new members once a more stringent hiring/screening/staff review policy is in place.
