I swear to god I'm going to blow a gasket the next time I hear some Retug or Democrat shrug their shoulders and invoke their own powerlessness to will of the Commander-in-Chief.

4. He's not the Commander In Chief of the civilian population
altough sometimes FreepShits seem to think that he is. A Commander In Chief of the entire civilian population would be a Fuhrer. I also think one of the Kings of England before our revolution referred to himself as the Commander In Chief.

Article II of the Constitution:
Section 2. The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States;
