all new yorkers. ( Sometimes I wonder about Staten Is.) Regional accents are preserved longer in the outer rings of the City like Bklyn Bronx etc.,as Manhatten is mostly newcomers and people not born in the city.

It was interesting to read those who "thought" I was aiming my post at them, and I honestly cannot figure those,...

It was interesting to read folks question whether I was southern (I am fully southern WV),...

It was interesting to read reactions.

At least you asked, "who on earth are you addressing", without making assumptions.

We really need to TEST our own pulses on how we react to emotionally provocative shit thrown out there. Otherwise, we are allowing ourselves to BE SPUN rather than spin our wheels forward on matters of equal importance to each and every one of us.

Am I making sense?

When you type "y'all", it means the people you are addressing. There's no "figuring" needed.

When you leave it for 2 days without any explanation, then of course they'll carry on thinking you were using English in the normal way.

No, you're not really making sense. What you said in the OP has nothing to do with spin.
