how things make their way from say - Rachel's show - to youtube is something a mystery to me. I would very much like to link to a youtube report of Rachel's regarding health care and South Carolina which a part of tonights program. If one of you Whiz kids would be so kind...

There are all manor of things about computers that are easy as all get out. And those that are of interest to me daily - I've mastered. That's why I won more than my fair share of photo contests. But I don't mess with video and I don't mess with youtube and I did want to youtube link to her discussion tonight about how seriously fucked up health care is in SC. That is all

how do you capture it to upload to youtube

I'd have to capture it live or tape it and get it onto a camcorder, then load the video to a computer, then load it to youtube after saving the excerpted part as an mp4 or mov file.

It would be a pain in the arse.

There must be a better way.

And embedded videos are only allowed in the DU Video forum.

as opposed to embed the video in the DU video forum, just go to her site and snag a link from there:

Find the clip you want, click on it and then click the little button that reads: EMBED. The player will give you the embed code and what you do is copy the URL from that code. Like this:

If tonight's clips aren't up on the site yet, be patient. They will be up within a couple of hours.

However, if you want to embed a video on DU's video forum, then you'll have to go searching through Youtube for one. The problem being that MSNBC is very protective of it's content and videos made of their shows get removed fairly rapidly.

The only place you can embed those videos is by posting in the Political Videos forum.

I was just asking one of the youtube crowd to post it to youtube and give me a link to that post. I been down with the flu most of this week. I'll pass my total inability to communicate off to that...
