9. That was a rare exception
But aside from that, it seems like the only time there's anything funny on SNL anymore is when they have to bring back Tina Fey or Amy Poehler to do it - neither of whom are in the cast anymore. Hell, they even brought Jimmy Fallon back once last year to play his Barry Gibb character, which was the ONLY funny thing he ever did.

12. I think the Michelle Bachmann character will give us
lots of laughter this season. That said SNL has deteriorated big time.

5. It's a rerun
The Will Ferrell episode was the season finale from this past May. New episodes on Saturday nights return *next* week...apparently with host Megan Fox. (It was brought up during Conan a couple of days ago)

That one was pretty hilarious, though. Great Celebrity Jeopardy sketch with Tom Hanks (and of course Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery). A couple of other surprises, IIRC.
