Jobless Don Broadcasting from Imus-less Station (NY Post: DEFIANT STATION PLANS 'BEST OF' DON)
Our long, national nightmare is not yet over...

DEFIANT STATION PLANS 'BEST OF' DON
FIGHT OVER RE-AIRING 'HO' SHOW

By GEORGETT ROBERTS and ERIC LENKOWITZ

April 15, 2007 -- Imus may be off the air, but one defi ant California radio station isn't listen ing.

KCAA in San Ber nardino plans to play "Best of Imus" reruns starting tomorrow morning - leading off with the controversial program that got the shock jock fired.

"I believe this is an important enough issue with regards to free speech, free expression," owner Fred Lundgren told The Post yesterday.

Westwood One, which owns the syndication rights to Imus' show, has warned him not to go forward with the plan. "Hopefully, the suits upstairs can work it all out," he said.

<snip>

Sharpton - who led the cause to get Imus axed after he called the Rutgers women's basketball players "nappy-headed hos" - has gotten death threats.

"I'm gonna come down there and shoot down fat-ass Reverend Sharpton like he's some kind of an animal," a caller yesterday told a National Action Network staffer.

Security has been beefed up at Sharpton's Harlem headquarters.

2. I'm sure the caller to Sharpton
was an avid Imus listener. Personally, I'd be appalled to have fans like that.
