It's been out there for several hours and no mention of it on the front of CNN.com...

10. Not vehemently they haven't.
Where was James Earl Jones on the night of the incident?

3. Why is this just now being reported on if it happened Sept. 12th?
Or is that a typo?

5. The police were probably keeping it under embargo.
To allow time for the investigation to proceed before it hit the public.

8. If that is true, I wonder if that is why O'Reilly backed off of some of his rhetoric...
Don't they often get news they can't print until given permission?

I don't understand why some of the hardcore hate radio people were mellowing down a bit or poohpoohing some of the comments made by Beck and the other hate crowd.

12. Sometimes they do. It depends on the police, the circumstances, etcetera.
In journalistic terms, information being "under embargo" means that you've been given the info by an organization, but aren't allowed to publish/acknowledge until they say so. A more common example would be press releases. I wouldn't read too much into the influence of this case on the hatemongers, though. If anything, Limbaugh and Beck and company are probably just going to try and make hay out of this, saying either that the guy deserved it, or that the Democrats are using it to bash the right.

4. Of course not--that would make them culpable
for ratcheting up the anti-fed hatred in order to keep their health care and lobbyist ad revenues coming in.

7. This is why we have blogs
If the blogs harp about it enough it eventually "goes MSM".

So all you bloggers out there, get to work!

16. CNN
I checked CNN.com, but it was not on there. I found out on DU first. The Washington Post has it if you look at the national section.

17. They should report it...
...that is true. On the other hand, it may be they are reluctant to report until they have more facts. Because if it is what it looks like -- it's potentially incendiary.

Not excusing them, just thinking out loud.
