Human rights activist finds noose on porch
The education director of a Human Rights Education Institute in Idaho said someone left a noose on the porch of her home in an apparent threat against the black family.

Rachel Dolezal said she found the noose Sunday morning just outside her front door in Spokane, Wash.

"I spent a lot of time in Mississippi, so when I saw that rope, I knew what it was," Dolezal told the Coeur d'Alene Press in a story published Wednesday. "You have to learn and practice how to tie a noose. It's a very intentional thing."

1. All of the hate speech bears further fruit.
And it may have gone on to its natural outcome in Kentucky.

7. Every one of these situations has turned out with the "victim" being the culprit. It's old.

9. Wait a minute, are you saying you think Rachel Dolezal tied the noose herself to get attention?
Are you serious?

12. People do stupid shit thinking they are helping.

The article is suspicious from here. The paradox is that if I am right then this woman and her child are not in danger and that's a good thing, and if I am wrong then she is vindicated and in danger.

Excuse me, I have to go duck a witch at 1:15pm.

PS- to the woman in the article: making a noose is not a specialized skill, we were doing it in third grade (and getting in trouble for it)

20. What wonderful childhood memories you have!
Noose-making 101! What else did you learn in third grade? How to make pipe bombs and the best kinds of inflammable materials to use at cross burnings?

24. As a former third grader as well as a former girl scout (K-8 grades),
I will attest to never having learned how to tie knots. Ever. I saw it was an elective for a badge in girl scouts, but I don't remember nooses being among the encouraged knotting techniques. If all third graders are learning how to tie nooses, why were you getting in trouble for it?

33. Maybe it's a boy thing.
We learned all kinds of knots, but the hangman's knot was a favorite because it has a mechanical quality to it, ie you make the loop bigger or smaller and the rope moves through the wraps. Besides, by third grade you're into Dark Shadows and vampires and stuff.

11. WTF?!
What are you suggesting? That the human rights worker planted a noose on her own front porch for publicity? Please provide any proof that people on the left do anything like this, any news reports you've read that cross burnings have been self-inflicted, that the bombs that blew up churches in the South were planted by parishioners, etc. This isn't that bimbo who carved a backwards B on her face, this is a noose on a black family's porch. So prove the majority of hate crimes are perpetrated by the "victim" or keep your ill-informed opinions to yourself.

14. What is the attention span around here? Five minutes?
We just had a case where a person that too many folks were al too willing to believe accused four or five guys of rape so her boyfriend would't dump her. And you think that someone wouldn't stage a high profile thing like this?

Are you just way too generous of spirit?

30. If you have "worked in human rights" whatever that's supposed to mean
then you ought to be aware of at least three fake hate crimes. If you aren't, then you appear to be full of shit. Since you only need one for your challenge, then google it.

But I'm not going to give you a platform for some delusional defense of long settled cases of faked hate crimes only to have you turn it around in some childish way to an accusation against me for even being aware of them.

37. What is your attention span
Edited on Fri Sep-25-09 10:11 AM by kenfrequed
The original post brought up Kentucky- referring to the census worker that appears to have been lynched there.

Then someone replied roughly that'every one of these cases has had the "victim" being the cause'

The first poster gave his perfunctory WTF and 'where is your evidence that these were faked'.

Whereupon you challenged his attention span and threw out a red herring regarding a supposed sexual assault that has nothing at all to do with this matter.

2. Waiting for those that feel as if those inciting this kind of intentional acts should
be allowed to continue unedited...and by those I mean those in high places who should no better and yet continue without any kind of censor from their peers...

I am no beginning to see huge brightly colored Impeach obama signs in texas displayed on the front of people's property along with the usual god bless america signs...I assume god does not like obama which is what I believe these people are attempting to state...wonder if they have learned such from their so called religious leaders...

5. Better not jump to conclusions. This might just be a random criminal act with NO
political undertones.

At least, many here would say to exercise that caution.

I say the time is long past to call out the reich on every one of these terrorist acts.

36. there were nooses and the N word scrawled as graffiti in my small town last year
right by the black churches here. The pastors got together and decried it and asked everyone to counter it with love. The townspeople did just that. There havent been any since.
