3. I only wish the wingnuts would realize he's on their side too

They're just so fucking ignorant and brainwashed into thinking what's good for corporations is good for them.

8. He has been saying that on all of his interviews
Caught the end of the Wolf Blitzer interview and he said to forget his politics (and potential disagreement with them) because this affects us all.

I actually got a right-of-right fundie co-worker to go see SiCKO with me a few years ago when it was released. I invited her for 10/2, but she declined because "it might make her mad to know what really happened and it is 'history' now".

I give her points for recognizing that he speaks truth to power, but have to negate that with the fact that her head is still planted firmly in terra firma.

13. Yes, he is.
Possessed of a very different temperament, but of the same mindset. :)

11. He is a real sweet heart
Very quiet and amazingly humble and down to earth. I first met him about 30 years ago - when he was still just in print. I never would have guessed he would accomplish so much - even though he was pretty impressive, even way back then.

12. He was publishing a magazine back then, right?
At least that's what I recall from "Roger and Me."

14. Local "underground" newspaper - The Flint Voice
Out of this crazy, old green house, just north of downtown Flint, as I recall. It later became The Michigan VOice. I think he then went on to Mother Jones, for a short period of time.
