1. was listening to radio
and Savage was comparing the video to Hitler Youth, Pol Pot, and Stalin's Pioneers. Said kids are being forced to "worship" Obama. :eyes:

Oh lordy lordy

2. Frankly I'm pretty uncomfortable

with children in public schools singing songs of praise for any public official from any party.

3. I'm not too crazy about it either
although I think they're blowing it out of proportion as well, making it play as if this were a top down order from Obama, and not some local teacher's decision. You know, cause kids all over the nation are doing it!1! It's hugh! ;)

4. A "cult of personality"?
I agree, it's a bit creepy for school children to be singing hymns to any president by name.

And I'll bet that Obama is somewhat put off by it too.

15. Those Kids Will Be Singing In The White House
...before this latest "poutrage" is said and done. Just like the Gates situation which should have remained local, wingnut "media" will amp up its memes that the corporate media already is dancing to. One thing leads to another...the kids, teacher, school and anyone associated becomes a "media celebrity" and in the end we'll see the kids with the President rubbing it in the wingnut's faces.
An old advertising adage: never make it look like you're picking on children or babies.

5. Even "Fat Man in the Bathtub"? (Taft)
Oh c'mon. "Abraham, Martin and John"? "Poor Man's Friend" (about FDR)? Okay, they're not all praise songs, but they are cool.

8. WORSE: O'Loofah's blonde bimbo said, "They've got RHYTHM!1"
And she did some swaying.

The video clip had the faces and most of the upper bodies of the kids blurred-out, so the ethnicity wasn't clear, but the RHYTHM blurt was stunning!1

12. Let 'em keep 'outraging'
Eventually, it will become like the boy who cried wolf. People will get tired of FAUX's horseshit.

14. "All praise The Leader! He is glorious in his rule over us!"
"I would die to wipe the shit from his shoes!" "All hail mighty Caesar!" Is what they sang at Dubya's secret rallies. And I didn't hear no fuss. So what is the fuss?

The Leader even read a story to peasant children about goats and conspiracies abounding. Yet no fuss. Tsk tsk I say.
