(Then again, Jay had him on "Tonight" back in the Nineties, so maybe there's some secret allegiance there-like the way Jay shilled for Schwarzenegger during his Kampaignkrieg for governor.

I really was envisioning him crashing.

Leno was kissing ass so bad. He was beaming. Obviously a huge fan. He let Rush get away with so much. Never challenged him and let him say things that were not true. Dave would have made Rush squirm a bit.I bet Dave and his staff watch this and think Leno is a wuss.

Thus far, really bad reviews for his first show, and based on the embarrassing interviews he's had with "newsworthy" people, I'd suggest he go to another cable channel and do something on the green movement, something he possibly COULD be successful doing.

Jay's monologue was filled with Acorn jokes and a few Obama digs.Only thing missing was a Clinton/Lewinsky joke. Part of the challenge was to hit a cut out of Al Gore. Gee Jay, how fair. So, Rush this week criticized Letterman for going soft on Obama. Can we all agree Jay was going easy on Rush?

As it was said before, he was practically making out with Rush's ass.

The point was to avoid Gore and if you hit them you would be penalized with more time added to your score.

I never watched the "Tonight" show after he took over and I sure as hell will never watch this new garbage he's throwing up. Give me Letterman and Conan any day.

I couldn't help but laugh at Rush backing up and hitting Gore & that other guy again, even if I love Gore and hate Rush.

It seems like I'm one of the few people here though that loves Leno's show being back, I'm sorry but I just don't find Conan and Letterman very funny, the humor is so rare on their shows.

I guess I've never really found him all that genuinely funny and generally found that he just asks lame questions in his interviews and I find his monologue jokes kind of stilted and formulaic. Occasionally he'll have a good crack and the headlines are kind of funny, but that's because others sent them in. The same goes with Jay Walking, which is probably edited, but my guess is not that heavily. Once again, the humor is based on someone else, not really much of anything he actually says...

Now, that said, people here go overboard in calling him a RWer. He's not. He's made that clear on interviews and on Maher's Real Time. He actually sounds like he likes Obama, but as someone else said he looks like he has a need to have people like him so his interviews are not hard hitting, incisive or interesting in any way.

I didn't watch Limbaugh though, because I have no interest in listening to his nonsensical talking points. Limbaugh is a POS who deserves no time or respect. And of course, we do know that he'd never go on Letterman, because Letterman doesn't let idiot RWers come on and just spew talking points...

But I'll bet the 'Frank Burns Brigade' that practically treats him like a deity were getting hard-ons.
