I feel pretty *special*.......I'm made from billion year old carbon

and I've been put together in this form, in this life.....and my 'carbon' will get recycled again...and again. But what of my soul, my consciousness? What happens to that? Where did it come from and where does it go?

1. Consciousness is not a separate entity from your body.

When you die, the consciousness ceases to function.

There is no such thing as a soul. At least, it's highly unlikely that it exists.

Without knowing with certainty about heaven/hell.....the BEST/most logical course of action would be to behave in a manner in which you COUNT on a heaven/hell, b/c your actions will benefit the "common good", if there is no heaven/hell/afterlife....and if there IS an afterlife, we can only hope for mercy that our beloved creator will look at the "filthy rags" of good works that we will present before Him as 'good enough'. When all we needed to know that He had done all of the dirty work ~ forgiven our sins ~ and gone on from there....

How could He 'forgive our sins' when we can't/don't/won't stop sinning?
