So let me get this straight before I start laughing again...

This punk-ass kid who's in this country illegally and manages a Sonic off of I-35E in rural Texas wakes up one morning and decides, "Gee, you know what? I'm gonna bomb a skyscraper in downtown Dallas. That'll show those capitalist pig-dogs not to mess with the Middle East!"

Then he gets hold of an undercover FBI agent and proceeds to tell him the whole plan, thinking that this guy was some deputy junior assistant field rep for al-Qaeda, and gets hold of a bomb that he's going to drive under the Fountain Place tower in Dallas and detonate by using his cell phone.

Before the trip to Dallas, however - and I gotta love this - the FBI goes in and renders the bomb inert, just to mess with this punk-ass kid's head. Oh yeah, and to save downtown Dallas from being pummed by a storm of shattered glass. That, too.

Then the kid drives his little bomb under the skyscraper, walks out of the garage, dials the bomb code on his cell phone, and is just standing there like Wile E. Coyote in one of those Road Runner cartoons wondering why his Acme Bird-O-Matic contraption isn't working, and the FBI just rushes out and tackles this punk-ass kid!

Pardon me if I don't do this...

3. Rolling Stone
Had a great article a few years back on these country bumpkins being used as the fall-guy, when there is no way they could have got as far as they did. I don't believe it, this guy probably voiced a few too many rants, some co-worker got spooked called on the guy and now this. Give me a break!

6. Was that the name of article??
It sounds familiar. I just don't see it happening, someone was coaxing him along on his anger, disgruntlement. I know there are those capable out there but this is far fetched.

He was the driver in the WTC bombing back in the early 90's and got arrested when he went back to the rental car company to get his deposit back after he blew up the rental car.

8. The FBI claims they tried to talk him out of it

I don't think it's a laughing matter. It seems like the FBI is doing what we pay them to do. Would you rather have the guy hunting around for a real car bomb so he can do genuine damage, instead of this ROFLMAO type that you seem to appreciate so much?

10. I'm glad that nobody was hurt
And yes, you beat me to the punch - the FBI has done more in this one event to keep America safe than all those overpaid pencil-pushers at DHS. We all remember how quickly and thoroughly they intervened in New Orleans.

But no, I still find it laughable that some punk-ass yahoo kid who managed a Sonic in rural Texas actually thought he could blow up a skyscraper and get away with it. Our government was all over him like a bad suit, and he never even knew it, otherwise he would have aborted the mission and slunk away to live out the rest of his life in anonymity and secret embarrassment, hoping the Feds never dropped the other shoe on him.
