Six Feeder Marches to Join Friday "Peoples' March to the G-20" in Pittsburgh
Press briefing, Sign-making Scheduled for Thursday Evening at 7pm at the Thomas Merton Center

At least six feeder marches will join the Thomas Merton CenterAntiwar Committee's permitted "Peoples' March to the G-20," which isdemanding "Money for Human Needs, Not War" and is expected to be thelargest march in Pittsburgh in several years. The 3 Rivers ClimateConvergence, Iraq Veterans Against the War, Women's Coalition,Meditation for Peace, and Students for Justice in Palestine will jointhe opening rally of the "Peoples' March" at Fifth and Craft Avenues inthe Oakland area of Pittsburgh at noon on Friday - all to bring theirdemands to the leaders of the G-20 Summit. There are now 70 groupsendorsing the Peoples' March.

3. I wish I could be there. I am proud of everyone who has come out to protest the G20.

4. I hope today's march is less idiotic.
The damage that was done last night in Oakland is just plain stupid. Those anarchist people are a bunch of assholes.

Today's groups look like they're better coordinated and operated, they have the proper permits, and they seem to have an understanding of what a real protest march should be about. I hope everyone stays cool, cops and marchers alike.
