This clip is from UKRAINE ’s GOT TALENT!

This young Ukrainian girl tells an entire story via pushing around sand on a table. She uses nothing but sand and her hands to create these images. What amazing artistic talent!

in Ukrainian:

"you are always near."

Could also be interpreted as "you are always with us".

Followed by the numbers "1946".

Very unusual theme for a girl of just 24, no?

Most of the world doesn't forget history as quickly as we do. And hell - 24 is a common age for graduate students in history, no?



Sometimes I feel like young people can't win around here. If they make art on fluffy themes, then "the new generation is vapid." If they make art about history and war, it seems suspicious somehow.

22. Actually, the intensity with which she performed her masterpiece
made me think of reincarnation. It's as if this girl threw images of another time she is intimately familiar with onto the drawing board, almost like a re-enactment of scenes from World War II.

But I do agree that derogatory comments about the new generation say more about the writers than young people overall.
