Her clothes are so beautifuly tailored. Sorry but Michelle's dress just looks like a prom dress. Brunis simple black and that suit are fabulously elegant.I had no idea Bruni was singer.I had to look to see who the gorgeous girl obama was hugging was. The French prez is a little dorky looking though.

I thought she dressed much better before she went to DC, but then so did Hillary. I have a DC friend that theorizes that DC "frumps" women. Carla jus has such perfect taste. I love her clothes the tailoring of that suit was wonderful. Jackie would have adored the beige suit. Michelle and Carla are just very different types. Michelle is more approachable. Carla is something one might aspire to! I would like to have a seamstress copy that suit!

Oh, and I like Michelle's taste in men, better.:)

As Barack Obama gestured to his wife in introduction, Mr Berlusconi threw up his arms in apparent delight.

It is not clear whether he was merely appraising her appearance or encouraging her to come to him for a hug but a severe-looking Mr Obama clearly wanted to move him along, dispatching Mr Berlusconi with a series of back pats which probably in no way made up for the one that he didn't get from the First Lady.
