Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes tonight. "What I did on my summer vacation -

it sucked".

It was very comical; he'd rather just keep to his old, known routine which is so much more satisfying to him.

Anyone who has ever packed a car or a suitcase for a 'vacation' could probably relate. Cute.

I usually like Andy, but that bit was ...well...a little difficult to swallow. He's complaining about not having to appear on TV once a week and take time off to do whatever he wants from May until now. I realize he writes more than his 60 minutes piece, but that bit was rather self serving.

Take less vacation? No, Andy, what the American people need is more vacation and all of us to be able to make a living by appearing on TV for a total of 20 minutes a month, 8 months of the year.

2. Ha! I thought he was saying vacations can be way overrated

as a way to relax. It's taken me two days to pack for 6 days, have security rifle through it occasionally, only to come home and have to do laundry.

Sometimes vacations are overrated. And don't get me started on camping!
