Same thing happens when a Palin thread is posted. So, please stop making Baby Jesus cry!

7. I have to say, the obsession with Roman Polanski
on both sides, is disturbing. DU is known for this kind of lunacy: smoking, spanking, Mike Vick, Olive Garden, etc etc; but this one is just creepier for some reason. The people that want to champion Polanski are creepy. The people that want to recount every lurid detail of the story on the other side are just as creepy. Please, please, please can we go back to talking about Michael Vick's lack of remorse?

22. Did you ever stop to consider that the Polanski case is fascinating...
...because of the legal issues involved?

If you do not like the subject matter, hide the thread or skip it. But there are people who are not just screaming "rapist" or "set him free" in regard to the matter and who are interested in the case because of the issues presented.

37. Actually, I like christmas.....Just not the religious aspects of it.

I love the tree and the lights and great cooking and family stuff and giving and getting presents, all the assimilated Pagan Ritual stuff.
I am always curious why we don't do that sort of thing more often. Not bankrupt ourselves for gifts, but get together and have a little party....I think some people are afraid of having too much fun.
