SARAH Palin is said to have pocketed a $7 million advance for the 400-page memoir she turned in four months early, but she might not have such an easy time on the lecture circuit.

After quitting as governor of Alaska in July, Palin signed with the top-notch Washington Speakers Bureau, which also reps George W. Bush, Laura Bush, Condoleezza Rice, hero pilot Chesley Sullenberger, LA Dodgers manager Joe Torre and magician David Blaine.

Palin's bookers are said to be asking for $100,000 per speech, but an industry expert tells Page Six: "The big lecture buyers in the US are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot."

I can't wait for the review in the NY Times and New York Review of Books.

It used to be that the charlatans were laughed at and not financially rewarded for their far-out kind of crazy. No more thanks to the whorish corporate M$M.

7 million is a good payday. She'll get a few speaking gigs in sympathetic forums and then ultimately end up on radio or Fox TV. I doubt that she personally has any further interest in the public sector. She'll become a female Joe Scarborough, because her brief run as VP will continue to give her a modicum of credibility. Whether she will be a "one hit wonder" or have some staying power is the real question.

She would be worth more than 100k per speech if she could get a ghost speaker, especially if it was really a ghost.

Guess no one wants to hear a bunch of rambling basketball analogies delivered in a fake Midwestern accent.

Because she IS such a blithering idiot and an embarrassing reminder of the last election they want her out of the picture and she's not minding them. They made a Frankenstein monster with Sarah because she rules the Freeper Zombies and they can't win without 100% of the Freep Zombie vote. So they are working to take her out so she doesn't stand a chance to win any primaries and embarrass them further.
