Every $1 We Spend On Unnecessary Healthcare Costs Is $1 WE ARE NOT SPENDING on .....
,,, education of the next generation to take over high skilled jobs that pay a decent wage.

... creation of more jobs, providing unemployment assistance, job training, affordable housing, food assistance for the poor and elderly.

... eliminating the national debt and annual budget deficits.

... researching and addressing climate change, cleaning up the environment, and developing green technology which will create jobs here in the US.

... making the switch from oil based energy to renewable sources of energy, and creating a new efficient energy grid, which will cut the dependence on foreign oil that holds us hostage.

... fixing the crumbling infrastructure, and keeping States from going bankrupct.

IN FACT, we CANNOT HAVE THE ABOVE BECAUSE every dollar we spend on unnecessary Healthcare Costs is $1 we spend to ensure that healthcare insurance companies and drug companies are able to lock in millions in profits, finance millions in bonuses for their officers, and send fat returns to their shareholders.

So what is wrong with this picture?

AND why does Congress not act to remedy this situation?

ANSWER: Every $1 Healthcare Insurers and Drug Companies spend on LOBBYISTS and Campaign Contributions to members of Congress is $1 toward ensuring that bought Congressmen stay bought under the present campaign finance rules.

TOMORROW's QUESTION: "Are People Waiting Until Their Jobs, Homes and Retirements Are Gone Before They Rediscover The Power of Protesting?"

1. Maybe if we said it's a dollar not going to "defense"
They'd go ahead and fund single payer health care. That's how we got free lunches for kids after all.

2. The List Could Be Expanded Exponentially ... but the point is the same.
We are all sacrificing the basic essentials of our lives to make sure a bunch of wealthy corps, their officers and investor shareholders are guaranteed millions of dollars for doing nothing to improve healthcare in this country.

4. if you've been reading here any length of time
You shouldn't have to ask that question. Thirty cents of every dollar is going to the profits of health insurance companies.
